The Joy of Life and Metamorphic

May 2, 2012

I’m finally getting the juxtaposition of the figures sorted out, the piece now consists of four groups of six figures placed around a powerful central figure, so that’s now a total of twenty-eight figures. The themes are, enlightenment, the joy of life, metamorphosis and spirit of the soul, it’s been my greatest ever multi tasking challenge trying to compose the little army of thirty-three figures, five of which had to be rejected. Anyway I’m  getting there and I’m still managing to keep quite an open mind about where the project is going artistically. Most importantly I feel that I am  expressing myself honestly purely through the visual language of sculpture using all my knowledge and ability.
