I Will Find My Way, All The Way

November 21, 2013

There are times when pleasing pieces of art arise out of the mess of my life and I feel reassured that eventually I will feel a level of satisfaction. It’s a simple reward for a great deal of struggle and a much appreciated calm in the stormy life of art. It gives a window into possibilities of what may lie ahead, this photograph just captures a moment where everything feels right including the interesting natural light.

I know now that I’m following my own intuition with greater truth and in a more relaxed way and just hope this will reflect in my future work so that I really realise my vision of sculpture to the highest level that I’m capable of. It wont be easy and my 293 blogs stand as testimony to my own epic struggle, from a place of despair, lost in a wilderness of confusion, knowing there was a way forward but struggling to grasp it. My journey over the past few years has beeen the most significant period of my life as an artist and paved the way forward for me. I can hold my head up high and proudly stand behind all I’ve said and made because I feel free and my shackled existence now seems to be behind me.

Finding your voice isn’t easy in this world, but  I’m finding mine through my work and without compromise because I can now admit to believing in myself and my work and am not afraid to make statements if I believe in them.

A Catalogue

I’m even starting to take part in more exhibitions again, today I delivered eight equestrian sculptures for a show at the Iona House Gallery in Oxfordshire and I also have work on show in Singapore at an art fair.

For me this is a sign that my artistic pulse is back to normal and I’ve forgiven the hostile world  for making my artistic struggle epic. 🙂

kick Ass
