Here’s to you Picasso

September 4, 2014

As a poor man I was lucky to find a cheap publishers remainder titled “life and Death in Picasso”. It’s made my week, just to be able to study an interesting selection of his drawings. I see his drawings as the engine room of his art, where it all happened as he fought for his ideas, battling to find interesting ways of expressing himself like a true artist. When I look at his drawings I feel his determination and they inspire me to go back and look at my work with fresh eyes and for some reason it renews my self belief. When it comes down to art he is still the main man for me and the epitome of what an artist should strive towards. It is a deep process and sometimes you have to draw it out through drawing. Tonight I looked through my collection of drawings, there are a few thousand in total and for the first time ever I felt proud of my achievement and there is some fruit from my rocky road. 🙂

In this world you can make some amazing art, you can keep it in your attic and it can remain unseen forever ❤
